I must admit I did feel a bit cowardly about changing my tel number but hubby was insistant ( he is never insistant on anything)Since I have changed it I must admit I feel so much better, and I have notified them all in writing about my position.

I too have been having problems with Mercer. They have phoned repeatedly, although I have never answered. They have also left messages on my house phone and mobile. I have taken out BT total broadband which gives me an extra number. I have given that number to all my friends and unplugged the other phone. I also had 1571 taken off so they could not leave a message. Changed my mobile as well.
I do check my other number occasionally and they are still trying - you would think they would give up!
I have also had letters telling me to phone before a certain date - they were not delivered until after those dates! I have been threatened with debt collectors and have basically told them to bring it on - they have no powers and will get their marching orders. I am currently setting up an IVA with Payplan so hopefully they will go away soon. I have also told them that they will not be getting anymore money than that already offered. I won't be intimidated by them.
