Mercers - I have read of the trouble people are having with these people together with Melanie's comments about reporting them. I have mentioned before on posts about a solicitor friend in the next village and I phoned him this morning. He said that(he does not know the individual on a personal level only by reputation) there is a solicitor who has taken on debt collectors amnd won every time. My friend suggested that if all those troubled by Mercers wrote, phoned or e-mailed him he may be persuaded to undertake a class action. My friend is not a criminal litigation solicitor but he reeled off upteen rules and regulations that Mercers could have broken. He said the penalties are very severe in certain instances. Perhaps Melanie may have a thought or two on the suggestion. David

My main comment is that banks have to treat their customers fairly, and if they are not then this is a matter for the Banking Ombudsman to be aware of.
