had to share this one with my buddies x
gets a call at 8.00 this morning from mercers-this is how it went.
asked to confirm my name and d.o.b
GIRL-'ah we're just calling because we havent received a payment from yourself'
ME 'yes thats because ive entered into an iva agreement as youre already aware'
GIRL-'no we didnt know that-no-ones told us'
ME- 'er yes they have'
GIRL- 'well when will we get the money then-we've had no money from your company'
ME- 'no you wouldnt because in an iva my company will distribute the money to you at set intervals'
GIRL-'we havent been told that'
ME- 'er yes you have and while youre there why not have a look on the insolvency register im on there or call my ip-you have my written permission to do so'
GIRL'no we're not allowed'
ME 'er yes you are' [:p]
GIRL-er er well how long have you been doing this thing
ME-your company knows that already
GIRL er er well its up to you to call your company or we will call in 7 days
ME- there is no need for me to call them as they have already told you the details and i am very happy for you to call-however im concerned that your company is wasting their money doing this
GIRL-er er ok bye

Next time I'd ask to speak to a supervisor, and let rip when they came on!

You ought to get the name of the person you spoke to, call them back and demand to speak to them saying you are calling for payment from a debt collection agency and recite the whole conversation you just had with them?
