Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that I've just received the call that Melanie is taking on our IVC case! I'm so relieved, its been such a nail biting week for myself and my husband, I feared it would be suggested we go down the bankruptcy route. I've felt such a nuisance constanting calling Melanie's office asking for news. May I say how lovely Tina and Margaret from Melanie's team have been, extremely patient, helpful and understanding. I know we still have a long way to go and nothing's certain, but I'm so pleased we faced up to our problems instead of burying our heads in the sand and getting into further debt, and Melanie comes so well recommended on this forum! Just one question if anyone can help as I don't like to call Melanie's office again this evening - we have had a few letters this week chasing payment but not responded, we are expecting an information pack from Melanie but in the meantime should we contact our creditors and advise them we are getting together an IVA proposal and should we mention Melanie's name? Any advise would be very much appreciated! May I also say how helpful this site has been to us, its reassuring to know we're not the only ones in this situation and the advice posted on the forum by others has been exceptional! I will keep posting our progress on the forum and in the meantime thanks again Melanie and her team.

I would definitely write to your creditors telling them of your decision to go along the IVA route, I then updated them every 4 weeks as to the progress of my IVA. For sure mention Melanie, I always did and at the end could recite her name and office address by heart as I always asked them to contact her direct. All bills/demands need to be forwarded to Melanie's office and I will only say what you already know you're in excellent hands and I wish you well on the start of your IVA Journey xx
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hey brown lizzie, it's good that you've got the ball rolling, you'll be in safe hands. You will get some template letters from Melanie's office and you can use them to send out if you wish. Your IP will also write to them. Good luck with your proposal. X

Glad you're getting things sorted.

Don't forget to change your bank account if they are one of your creditors. You need to do that before you tell them you are going down the IVA route.

Definately let the creditors know that we are going to be dealing with your case. We will also write to them as well, once we receive all of your information, and never hestiate to call the office if you need to - that is what we are here for.

I shall look forward to speaking to you soon, and in the meantime the sooner you can get the information to us we can start to work on things for you.
