Well that was very interesting, just seen on BBC news 24 about the number of companies mis selling IVA's and most debtors will face BR because of this.

That is spot on in my case.

Stats will be published this friday.

Missed the rest sorry nearly fell down the stairs trying to get to the tv.

(I apologise for my keyboards poor spelling and grammar)

We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by the responsibility for our future.

Coco

It may be repeated. Its fantastic to see this come out in the open though as Joe public do need educating about the pitfalls and slimeball companies cashing in, on people in debt, even offering to help with BR for 2K??? It seems the debt trend is going up and more and more people are in over their heads before they realise, it hit me like a ton of bricks. The banks are asking staff to sell more and more products to people, without proper checks. I was offered another loan two weeks ago by my biggest creditor. I accept that we are to blame for our own debt but no one deserves to be ripped off by companies who are cashing in on this trend. There is so much more misery out there for people who do not have internet or who have not found this site.

I'm glad that it's now being brought out into the open.

Also Lily, I just wanted to say I love the tag lines at the end of your posts - some of them have made me cry

They are from a song someone gave me by Josh Groban called to where you are, it really spoke to me and I love it.

I had never heard of him. At the wake of moms funeral we projected photos of her with us from babies to now. When all settled in the hotel room with a cup of tea we asked them to sit and watch a three minuite tribute to 'you raised me up'. there she was smiling out at everyone. She loved that song and I bought her the album. Anyway I was watching a programme and Josh Groban came on and sang you raise me up. (I have never heard that song since that day) I was gob smacked and thats why I put it there.
She would reach out to anyone in need, whether she knew you or not and I cannot believe that kind of spirit would just be gone in an instant and leave nothing behind.

I totally agree with you Lily - your mum is still with you. I believe that there is more than this life - I have to believe that I will see my dad and my uncle again one day.

Your mum sounds a lovely person, and I can see where you get your kindness from x

Articles on News24 tend to come round again every hour so hopefully will catch it. I have had the commercial Freeview channels on - full of ad breaks for Picture. I cannot get that geordie womans voice (DAD'S FOUND YA SKOOTA) out of my head - still their other one with they guy going on about "how nice" they are at Picture is just as bad.

Picture secured loans know what they are doing with their commercials. Notice, how the families portrayed
are always happy and busy? The home is always pristine? I wonder how many takers they would have if they showed Ma and Pa Clampitt living in a chicken hut or a shack requesting £25,000 with barefooted snotty nosed young'uns in the background? Ha! Sounds like a spoof for Enfield and Whitehouse.

Ahhh, where is that lovely Carole Vordaman(?) when you need her? Ha!
