One of our Mobile Phone contracts is up for renewal this week. Has anyone had any problems upgrading with T Mobile ? and getting a new 18 month deal and phone
I think as long as you stay with the same provider you should upgrade fine. It is just when you try and change to someone else that you have the problem as they credit check you
I think all they do is check your account to make sure you have been paying ok. I was in a DMP earlier this year and had no problem upgrading with O2.

Just a word of warning about T-Mobile at the moment. They do not have much money left for upgrades till January. They are not giving anyone good deals. You should find that you will get much better offers come January. At the moment the chances are they will give you a £5/10 discount on your line rental . One last thing make sure you are happy with the price plan you select when you do upgrade as they will not let you downgrade it for the length of your contract.
With T-Mobile, they look at your monthly bill, how many incoming calls are made, if you pay ontime, if it's DD and you are graded on that, depending on your T-Mobile status you are given a code, which they will not tell you.
If you have signed up to my T-Mobile on the site, you can check if you are eleigable and what sort of handsets they will offer you.
If you have been a long standing customer, and the handsets are not very good you can ring in and see what type of deal they can offer.
you can also ask them to check that you are on the correct plan for your usage.
You don't actually have to leave - threaten to do so and you may well get a better deal. I was going to do this with Vodafone again this year but I didn't have to - they gave me a better deal than I would have got as a new customer at the time, with a phone that had only just been released and that I would have had to pay for at the time.
I'm glad I disconnected from T Mobile before I went into an IVA - they were a nightmare and I couldn't wait to get shot of them!
Hi
Good advice from Skippy.
If you are a good payer the phone company will try to hang onto you.I tried to cancell a 3G contract and was offered a new phone and a reduced rental of £12 per month with free calls and texts.
The whole idea of a credit check is to see if you pay your bills on time, if they already have a years worth of payments on time for you they really have no need to credit check you

Good news caraf. I've got to wait till August for mine (O2) so I hope mine goes through as easily as yours!
