I quite like the new one (no idea what it's called) that has a touch screen and keyboard.

Then again, I do want an iPhone, although I'll be keeping my iPod as well!

Skippy its the Blackberry Torch and I sooo want it. My contract is up for renewal with o2 in February, hopefully I will be in an IVA by then. Will have to wait and see if I can have it as an upgrade.

when I got this mobile contract there were plans with blackberry but to be honest I don't like the look of it. Also didn't want touch screen as i thought I would keep phoning outer mongolia everytime I put it in my pocket LOL

That's the one love hope and strength! The earliest I can upgrade is March (3 months before the end of my contract), but I'm starting to do my research now.

Leakybrain, I didn't think I'd get on with a touch screen, but surprisingly I'm fine!

[?]My mobile phone contract ended Nov 2009 but I've not upgraded. Been quite happy with the rubbish phone I have - it's only a phone after all.

But wondering when I'm in the IVA (should be through be the end of the year) will this prevent me from upgrading. Do they do credit checks?

I'll want to upgrade and change my telephone number once the IVA is in place...but just thought perhaps I should start the process now????[?]

You should be ok, the companies usually just check your account with them. I've not had a problem yet.

Must admit I do love to have an up to date phone and I much prefer a touch screen.

I can upgrade in June as well and I think it will be an iphone for me as well.

If you are on a mobile contract, then you are really tied to that service provider for the time that your credit report is impacted cause they do a credit check when you switch.

If you stay with the same provider there is no problem and I've had a couple of upgrades whilst in my IVA.

To be honest vodafone have looked after me, whilst I'm in my IVA they can continue to get my business once it's done - Same with my bank ;-)

I'd been with O2 for years prior to my IVA and found them to be one of the best. I won't be switching, even when I've finished.

How do you find Vodafone's customer service inaiva? I've had to complain about it in the past as I've been given duff information several times, and I'm sure they have foreign call centres now!

Other than that I'm happy to stick with them - I'd only change if I could get a better deal. They even phoned me a couple of months ago to ask if they could change my tariff to give me a better deal!
