You and me both Mrs S! The only times we have been in a van was down in the South of France, it was hot and sunny and we had all amenities there in the van!

I did say I wouldn't sit under the stars - I did lie! If it was somewhere exotic and I was next to the bar then I could quite happily look at them!

My MIL has a caravan at Heacham and it's beautiful when the weather is nice, we can choose to go there whenever we want so it's nice...alas not this year due to her illness, such a waste of ground rent as nobody has been in it all season.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I did so much (enforced!) camping when I was in the Army, that I never thought you would get me under canvas again! But hubby and I recently got the bug again, and I have to say I am enjoying the occasional break - we are going again in October, so I hope it will not be too cold!

Camping in October?!?! Mel, you must be mad!

If I have to tow it or pitch it myself I'm not interested!

This post is making me laugh.. I have to agree with Skippy, I too would sooner have my teeth pulled with no anesthetic than spend one single night in a tent, I'm bad enough in the house this time of year with my spider fear!!!

I know it does sound a bit daft doesn't it - but we used to camp out at all times of the year in the Army, so I am pretty used to it!

Have a lovely anniversary and try and plan something special for your lady even thought the budget is bound to be tight at the moment. You can have the honeymoon when the IVA is over - just in time for your pearl anniversary!

Mrs Moody, I have a problem leaving the house in the morning - there's a spider that builds his web between the 2 hedges in the front garden every morning. Getting to the car involves me walking down the path waving a coat hanger in front of me like a complete nutter!

Happy Anniversary in advance Mart!

It's wonderful to gaze up to the stars on a moonlit night and think to yourself,"I must get a roof put on this outside toilet"

Apart from the fact that I don't need those (very short hair!), I need a nice comfy bed and a bathroom that I don't have to tramp miles to use in the middle of the night.

Not to mention bricks and mortar around me!
