I would think that a letter from the person giving the gift would be enough to prove where it came from.

Your proposal/chairmans report should tell you whether or not you can have gifts/windfalls up to £500.

ah right Skippy that's Melanie's weakness is it! duly noted ! Melanie and my granddaughter have something in common then! Sadly I doubt I'll get any money for Christmas as we've decided we're only buying the children in the family (blaming the credit crunch) and everyone is happy with this phew!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Mmm - I haven't had one for over two days! And how sensible to just buy for the children - by the time you add up what you spend on adults, and what they spend on you, all you are doing is spending money that you would not usually spend on stuff that you would not usually buy!

How true and its not really about the gift is it? Its about thinking of that person at that time and thinking of a gift suitable for them. You can write it all in a card and it would probably mean as much or maybe even more.
