Hi

I have been looking at many websites and find it hard to understand that most people add more into there I.V.A when they have more money (ie) pay rises, bonus etc.

But the debt does not clear any quicker, can someone explain this please.

Regards

Neil

Hi Neil,

Most IVA's include an element of write-off by the creditors which is a sign of their goodwill in helping to resolve the financial issues and concerns involved. They have agreed to this voluntarily.

If an individual's financial position improves so that they can pay more it seems fair that this goodwill is reciprocated by the debtor.

That is one of my favourite albums - being an enormous PF fan! There is no better track to listen to than Comfortably Numb.

To the original poster - the whole spirit of an IVA is a willingness to offer as much as possible to creditors based upon affordability. Therefore most people are only too pleased to offer up a proportion of their increased earnings in order to enhance the position for creditors.

When your 'whip' don't 'snap' i guess.

How much did they spoil the great gig in the sky by using it on a b*oody shampoo ad !

If I'd only stopped for as long as the intro to "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" before thinking I could afford all those things maybe I wouldn't be on this forum.

Maybe you true PF fans will think I jumped on the bandwagon but I remember Xmas 1978/79 being in the school production of Midsummer Nights Dream and at the final night party jumping about - you didn't dance aged 12 - to "Another Brick in the Wall".
