Evening all
Is it the normal practice to keep getting letters and phone calls from creditors 2/3 weeks after iva approval ?
Mercers are contacting us on a daily basis saying and each time they say they know nothing of our IVA and each time we tell them it has been approved and yet the next day they ring again
We have now had a letter from POWER 2 CONNECT who act on behalf of Barclaycard and Mercers/Eversheds who say they are going to send a contact manager to visit (That will be fun)[}:)]
And as i type SKY CARD have just rang....ERRRR !![:)]

It will eventually filter through John. What a pain though!

It can be John - sometimes it takes a while for communications to filter through all lines of an organisation. Tell Mercers to check the Insolvency Register next time they bother you.

Hi John.jk,
Unfortunately you will get letters for sometime to come....the number will reduce gradually. I save mine up and send them to my IP. At first I would phone my IP to tell them about it or phone the company and say "I'm in an IVA with ***** Reference number **** and then say please talk to the company, not me and polite goodbye.
I hope that helps,
Hugs,
Chardonnay

After you get approval it becomes fun. My wife had Dl collection on the phone last night on behalf of egg. She let the guy rabbit on for a few minutes then ripped into him that we had entered into a trust deed(scottish iva),in may and it had become protected(approved) in june, and why couldnt there departments talk to each other and why did they feel the need to hassle people in this way. She was really pleased when she came off the phone.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

I've said before - why is that when you don't make a payment, it takes a couple of days to filter down to the call centre and they start making the calls.

Once you are either br or IVA, it takes months!!!!!!!!!!

Just send everything to your IP john.jk.

If anyone does call, you will be able to send them away with a flea in their ear!
