Hi I made my last IVA payment in April and just waiting for my cc. I am selling a house which I owned jointly with my ex partner. The IVA company are aware of this as well. I have had to force my ex out of the house because he has only been paying part of the mortgage for a while now and missed a few payments as well. I have not lived there for 4 years. I have checked my credit file and obviously this is showing on there as a delinquent account. My question is once the house is sold and I sort out my credit file will this affect me getting a mortgage with my new partner. He has a good credit rating but now I am concerned my exs actions will drag me down again. Thanks.

Hi,

Have a word with either Ryan or Shaun (details under the expert link on the left hand side of the page) as they have been instrumental in getting other posters a mortgage.

I would suggest the same as foggy ..a chat now will help you identify what you need to do to move in the future with a new mortgage.
I know Ryan is currently away but his team will respond to any email you send

Your credit record will still be negatively affected until after you get your CC and the 6 year mark has passed.
