Hi, I’d like to get some proper advice on obtaining a mortgage. I paid my last payment last June and my official completion date was 04/10/19. I want to look into what I have to do to get a mortgage. I have a 20k deposit which will be gifted by my Mum. I have to possible options to buy I can try to go down right to buy on my council home which will work out over 50% discount on a rough estimated property valued at between 170 - 220k or seek my own purchase but want to realistically what my chances of success are going to be. My IVA no longer appears on my credit report. Any advice welcome

I would suggest a chat with a whole of market broker with experience in adverse credit. We have two such who advise forum members and have helped quite few between them: Ryan and Shaun. Their contact details can be gleaned from their profile pages here:

Shaun: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=22837
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
