If any of you are bankrupt or in an iva or other arrangement,. there are mortgage solutions available out there on the market. But may i post a warning for anyone in that situation not to jump the gun and take the first financial "saviour" product offered ,there are a few ,although not many. People may think i mad saying these things ,as a mortgage advisor. but it is easy to fall into the "grass is grener" trap. If you o deide to go down the road of trying to get a mortgage, please find an INDEPENDENT financial advisor ,do not go to a tied one.and make sure anyone you speak to is registered by the FSA. further ,if you are in serious debt and are tempted to take out a "consolidation" loan,. dont be hasty.seek independent advice, the repayments on a loan compared to a dmp, may be more ,they may be less.Finaly please dont ever be lulled into paying a hefty fee each month to a company that offers to reduce your debts.apologies for preaching to you all.
