Hi

I'm just wondering if anyone can help me with this.
I am trying to move house from a private rented property to a housing association property, mainly because its more secure and long-term and one thing I always worry about is the landlord saying we need to move out and having only 2 months to find somoewhere to live

Will this affect my IVA in any way? It won't increase any of our payments as in same area so travel, utility bills etc should still be the same.

The only difference is the rent may be cheaper. I have just had my review last month so costs and payments for the coming year have been sorted out, so if my rent was less would this automatically be have to be paid in or would this be changed on next years review?

Thanks in advance [:)]

I would inform your IP immediately when any change occurs and let them decide. Some will say wait until next review and others will want an increase in payments due to more disposable income immediately.

Hi. I have just done the very same thing and, this WILL differ from IP to IP, my firm were very supportive. The move happened a few months after my review and I am a bit better off each month rent - wise. I discussed this with my firm and they said the savings were mine until the next review when they will be taken into account from then on.

This has worked out well as these savings are going towards new white goods and carpets. This is a double bonus, as I know the new stuff will ( should) last the rest of my IVA too, so no nasty surprises in that department.

As Les;ey says, some will want the savings added in right away. As with all these things, it's best to discuss with your IP, so you know where you stand right away.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thanks both for your response. I will discuss it with them when it happens but I was thinking it would be like what they have done with you foggy.

Thats's what I was hoping for too as we will be leaving a furnished property so will need to buy everything so was hoping if we can keep difference until the next review, we can use the money to furnish and decorate :-)
