My husband has been offered an opportunity to work in Singapore. This is not yet guaranteed but if it did happen it would be with a view to moving to Singapore in 12-14 months time.
At this stage we will be just under 2 years into our IVA.
Would we be allowed to move to Singapore, as long as we can guarantee that we continue to pay into the IVA?
Currently my husband and I both work full time and we pay 338 per month into our IVA. If we were to move we would be able to survive on m husband working and me being able to be a stay at home mum and we would be able to afford 350 per month into the iva (an extra 12 punds).

Obviously this idea is very appealing to us, as importantly, we would still be able to settle up our debts.
However, I am not sure if it is acceptable to move out of the country when in an iva.
Please could you advise me what your thoughts are.
Thank you
If we were to take advantage of this move it would enable

Hey there and welcome to the forum. How exciting for you, I would have thought that it would be no problem as long as you can keep in touch with your IP and keep paying your payments. I know Melanie has clients that live abroad. Hope it works out for you, sound like a great opportunity. X

Hi and welcome from me too.

That sounds a wonderful opportunity and I would love to be doing it!

I totally agree with Viki and I don't think you will have any problems.

Go for it - you lucky people. It will not affect your IVA one bit, as you can still send your payments electronically from Singapore, and the opportunity to be a full time Mum will benefit your kids tremendously. Good luck with it all!
