One of mums neighbours went round to her house this morning and told mum that there was a black and white cat lying dead on the roadside not far from mum's house.

We went round to see and when we got there it was mums beloved tom cat.
She was so upset. I picked him up and wrapped him in a towel and we took him to mums garden.
I phoned my brother who is going to come and bury him for her.
He had been hit by a car from the looks of him. I just hope he didnt suffer on his own and it was a quick death.

Oh that is so sad Mrs S. I hate it when I read stories of animals being hurt, and your Mum must be really upset.

Get her a kitten straight away - perhaps LadyH could help in that department.

She had a new kitten last week and she has another older cat. Shes going to be worried about letting them out of her sight now.

She was so scared to go and see if it was him, she asked me to go with her so i told her to take an old towel incase so we could take him home to be buried.

Its so sad, he was such a funny cat.

Mrs Skint, I'm so sorry, please give your mum a hug from me. I think it would have been instant although I know that doesn't help. X

So sorry to read this Mrs skint. Poor mum, we get so attached to these animals. I hate to hear of things like this. I wish we could teach cats to avoid the roads, I had one years ago and he used to sit in the middle of the road and the onbvious eventually happened.
Hug for mum.

Ang xx

Mrs S, I'm so sorry to hear about your moms cat. It's awful when a much loved pet dies, no matter how it happens, but it's worse when it happens like this.

Awww Mrs S, I am so sorry, I am actually crying, poor you and poor Mum. What a thing to have to go and see. I hope youre alright, I want to give you a hug too. I would be deverstated if it was my cat. We just love them and not many people really understand how hard it is to lose them. Its awful news.... I hope Mum is OK.
