I've got 2 cats but the youngest has started to be really naughty and i'm certain shes doing it to annoy me. lol

lately shes started either pooping on my kitchen floor or in my bath rather than her litter tray. the thing is she only does it when either i've shut the back door to keep her in cos its raining or something (shes a persian so only goes in the back garden) or if i go out. she even looks at me with a glint in her eye when i ask her who done in. i'm sure she'd laugh in my face if she could. lol.
she makes me laugh cos i'm sure shes doing it out of spite like a naughty child.
i had a leak in my bathroom so the side panal of my bath is off to let it dry out and shes taken to sleeping underneath, so i've been trying to keep the bathroom door shut as i don't want her to get a cold. last night i shut the door just as she was about to run in. so she miowed at me then immediatly ran to the kitchen and tried to poop on the floor. lol. soon as i shouting oi! she looked me up and down and trotted into her litter tray.

anyone got any advice for a cat going through a teenage fase. lol

Connie - cats are worse than teenagers eh. I have 2, one is a proper lady and my tom cat - well, lets not go there!

It does seem as though she's trying to get one over on you [;)]

gotta love cats.. I have two of the little b*rds and i love them to bits.. they do everything in their power to make sure they annoy you and then..

they cuddle up to you, give you the purrrs.. shuv their bum in your face and you can't help but melt and love them anyway..

(personally i hate the bum in the face bit...)

Hi Connie .... I had 3 cats up until recently and two have died from extreme old age. In my time as a cat owner I have used lots of internet sites to help sort problems and I did have a problem similar to what you describe. With this in mind I offer this site and hope it helps:.....

I have been lucky then, none of mine have ever done anything in the house, and I dont get a bum in the face but a snout in the eye, I love that. Snout in the eye time, its the best....

Harry's never done anything like that, although we do have to be a bit careful - we still put his litter tray down at night and if we forget to take it up he'll come in from the garden to use it - so much better than digging your own hole I suppose!

He has a charming habit of when we are eating our dinner or when we've got visitors he'll sit in the middle of the floor and start licking his bum!
