Also be aware that your current bank may not get real time updates from the CRA's I've since found out why Lloyds TSB declined me a credit card despite my file being clear and getting a letter saying there was adverse credit information at Call Credit / Experian.

It is because they do MONTHLY updates from the CRA's around the 22nd of the month, so just missed out on the last update, so they know about the IVA even though I did not tell them!!!

Told it would be best to apply after the 22nd, told them that's ok I've gone to Barclaycard now :-)
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

Many thanks all for the replies and for your knowledge The Matrix.
I rang the 0800 number and spoke to a "off-shore" lady. I explained that these were outside the 6 years and should be removed and I asked for a manager. She put me through to "UK Customer Relationship". I spoke this time to a sympathetic Irish lady who looked at the info and agreed with me (YES!!). She said that she would raise a dispute - I moaned and said how long will this take (thinking it to be the 28 days Equifax standard response). She said 24 to 48 hours as she was raising an internal dispute.
So we'll wait and see.
If anyone else is struggling with these defaults PLEASE demand to speak to a UK member of staff, you seem to get more sense.
I'll keep those of you interested updated.
Thanks again.....

That sounds promising. Hope she does get it sorted for you.
