hanks everybody for your kind support. I am really nervous now and am really praying it gets accepted. We know it will not be easy but it gives you a glimmer of hope. I will post the outcome.

Orville good luck. I have just been accepted for a proposed IVA by Melanie Giles team so hopefully will be in same position in a couple of months.

Mine was refused. Northern Rock said I could reduce my payments to them which would put more money in for the creditors. Spoken to Northern rock and they said they could possibly put me on interest only but first they want me to contact my creditors and see how much they would accept as reduced payments and then get back and they will tell me what they could do for me. Asked payplan how the others had voted. They said some didn't but Egg and MBNA plus any else that voted said yes. We as taxpayers can help Northern Rock but they won't help us. Hopefully the govt will say enough is enough and Northern Rock will go under. We can only hope.

Danny sorry to hear that NR would not play ball. I am in the process of requesting they place me on "Interest Only" mortgage to free up more money for my creditors but not sure what their response will be when they discover I havn't enough for my current bills and trying to get an IVA. Hopefully common sense will prevail and they will see the purpose of the "interest only" application as a wider part of the IVA itself and thus guarantee that their payments are secure.

Be interested in what options your IP has given you. Good luck!

So sorry to hear about NR Danny grrrrrrrr don't they make you hopping mad [:(!]

What percentage of your debt is owed to NR? Hopefully payplan can come up with another plan for you....maybe enter a dmp and then try for an IVA again? Or would bankruptcy be an option for you?

Try to keep your chin up, between us all and your IP we'll find a solution xx

Really sorry it didnt go to plan for you today Danny. I'm confused where NR come into it though. Are they just your mortgage provider or do you have unsecured debt with them? Also, if they are just your mortgage provider and you have kept your payments up to date, how did they get to get their tuppence worth at the creditors meeting. Can you do a DMP? Have Payplan helped with other options? I'm sure they can help you with another solution? Nikki

I have an unsecured loan with Northern Rock. Got report back and surprised how many people didn't vote. Only MBNA,Northern Rock and IVA watch on behalf of egg. Egg and MBNA accepted but nothern rock didn't. Have rang payplan today to tal about DMP rather than go bankrupt. They will get back to us in next 10 days. Apparently if we go into DMP the 30,000 unsecured loan then becomes secured and part of the mortgage with northern Rock. If they had done that anyway then it would have been a different IVA outcome possibly. We have been advised not to do anything until our DMP is set up but I have had default notice threatening with poss court action from Egg and a first charge from sainsburys . It all gets so confusing and worrying. Was thinking about asking Northern Rock for a year off but maybe not a good idea. Maybe should ask them to move the unsecured to the mortgage and then put new IVA together. What do people think on that.
