Hi all

This is my first post and am looking for a little help.

I have managed to get myself into debt for about 68k, this is due to training costs etc for a career change that I embarked upon and also my business suffering due to the soaring costs of fuel and lack of work !!

I have now finished my training for my new career and just secured myself a job, i have also got a call booked with CCCS to propose an IVA, as i think this is the only way that i can clear some of the debt. My question is how long does it normally take for an IVA to get approved (if they agree to it) also if they dont, what then happens?...apart from bankruptcy (which i wouldnt have thought is in the creditors best interests?)

Very grateful for any comments.

I normally work on the basis of four to six weeks from the date that we receive all documentation from our clients - but the CCCS may have a different timetable.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.
Mine took 7 weeks from phone call to approval, but some do take longer. All the best with finding the right solution, and keep posting to let us know how you are getting on.

Hey verybroke, welcome to the forum. CCCS will discuss ALL your options with you. You might want to get a second opinion too so personally I'd recommend Melanie Giles who has answered in one of the posts above. Advice is free. Good luck, keep posting. X

We made our first call to DFD at beginning of novemeber and made our first payment in February. It was the best thing we ever did.
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!
