and I know I'm amongst friends here, people who know more about me than anyone else. My son grew up with his best mate from the age of 11 until yesterday they were inseparable but yesterday his friend took his own life. I cannot get this out of my head, my family is in pieces as he was often here, they played in a local footie team together. They've been through the normal lad things of naughtiness together and so much and my son the bodybuilder is in pieces crying like a baby and I can do nothing apart from cry too. Certainly makes me think just what is important and it's not all about money as for the last year I've lived and breathed IVA. I cannot imagine what his parents are going through and know I need to see them at some point but not right now. At peace D x

Oh Lesley that is so sad. I feel so sorry for his parents, how can you get over losing a child. Your poor son must be in pieces, as must your family, all you can do is be there for him and each other.

It does put everything into perspective and I'm glad you have turned to us in this terrible time. Thats what friends are for.It does help to get your emotions out.

Thinking of you all during this very sad time xx

oh lesley..i am sooo sorry to hear this...it is so tragic that young people are making this decision for whatever reason....
it is so hard for family and friends to get their head round why this happens and in some cases they never get closure....
i hope you and your son and others close to this young lad draw comfort from each other at this time
take care....

Lesley that is such sad and tragic news. I really do feel for his family and for you and your son trying to come to terms with this.

Thinking of you.

My heart goes out to you and your son Lesley. All you can do is be strong for him and get him to talk out his feelings. Don't let him bottle them up.

I am so sorry how awful for a young life to end in this way. So much sadness for his family and friends like your son and you. There are no straight forward feelings when something like this happens are there? Please try not to avoid the family though Lesley, as hard as it is, just say whats in your heart or just give them a hug and say nothing, they will need all their friends with them at this time of great sadness.

Best wishes to you and yours.

Love

Thank you all your words of kindness are very comforting to me, I am feeling much calmer now, we are visiting the parents on Sunday as we do know them well, the funeral is planned for next Friday and we're all going to pay our last respects. It's a tragic end to a short life of a handsome funny and charming young man who must have found himself in a very dark place. He had recently found God, but I fear maybe a little too late. RIP Dom x
