This is jo's husband..they asked me "what implications would it have on the bank, being in an IVA? To which I relplied "people in debt could, potentially, have too much access to customers 'bank details'. My wife and I would like to thank everyone, on this forum, for your support. You've been great. We will still keep in contact with you all.
brill support on here great advice and support given all the best with the work situation! pressures at work can be stressful i went through a time of been accussed of bullying was alwful ! never proved i was a wreck! but i came out the other side and weeks later handed in my notice for a better job and now its three years on !!
Brilliant news - I am so pleased for your both! People in IVA's sometimes get a bum deal but we are probably the most reliable people as we have addressed our problems and have taken steps to sort out the issue.
Very pleased for you- im glad they decided no further action! RBS- pot kettle black springs to mind. how on earth could they justify anything with the problems they've had!!!
RBS is in serious debt, let's be truthful with absolute no timetable to pay back the taxpayers....the debt will never be paid back in full..that's their unofficial tongue and cheek IVA?? Now 23p a rbs share.....a sad joke.
Look at Northern Rock,400 million write off from a rip off sell to Richard Brandson...sounds like another IVA to me?
My point...
For RBS's HR dept' to preach of been virtuoso on personal finances by its employee - totally disgraceful!
Always declare the IVA if required, don't hide it....especially in the Police community. If the employer in this case was Police - it may not be happy ever after.
Boycott this Bank

The point of this thread was nothing to do with boycotting any bank. The OP's husband had problems because of the IVA and employment by said organisation.
Thankfully they saw sense and her husband still has a job.
Once we have a very positive post nomoremoney, please don't post in the negative.
Just be glad the OP has the result they wanted.

Well what a relief for everyone - not least of all you two! I hope you have a very good day at work tomorrow and I am so pleased they made a sensible decision.
Glad to read you'll both still join in on the forum. Best wishes and enjoy a restful night's sleep!

I am not posting any neg' comments Kallis,I am happy that it has worked out for the poster. Its clear that a Bank like RBS that owns tax payer money have no right to lecture employees for been on an IVA.The Bank did see sense but you don't know why it did so do you?
How would you like your Midlands Police employer asking about your IVA??? I seem to recall a thread you have posted to Mike, a former Police officer now doing debt work that it is not their business to ask?? Is that negative?
If they want to check, they are quite free to do so. I have just not chosen to tell my force and have never been questioned about it. I certainly won't be volunteering the information.
I am so glad the OP has the result they needed which is what this post was all about.
