Well, an advisor at Tudor Kirk gave us specific advice on how to hide a windfall if we got one - we didn't go with them but it shows how an IP can influence a client's thinking. We'd rather be honest and I am pleased to say that this error on TK's part meant that we got suspicious and are going with Mel's company instead. Thank goodness there was a silver lining in that particular cloud.

What's done is done & Emma has been brave enough to come & ask if anyone else has experienced this problem (although I do think she has to expect mixed opinion on the matter)

Because of the gambling addiction- recovering or otherwise, if i was in that situation I'd wonder if my husband took the money?
IVA COMPLETED & CLEAN CREDIT FILE.

An old bible proverb says this: the rich one rules the poor, and the borrower is a slave to the lender.

How true are those words of wisdom.

I have read this thread with interest and refrained from posting until now.

This forum should remain non-judgemental, in all replies? Emma did as advised and now it's gone wrong. Believe me when I was in debt if someone had told me something at the outset of an IVA I may have acted upon the information as I was grasping for a lifeline.

Emma - I sincerely hope this all works out for you x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
