Unfortunately GT not responding is the norm and them responding has become the exception they are the big fish and acting like it.
Ive had go now further my complaints against them via the IPA etc since they have clammed up when it was pointed out they put in a variance )and paid themselves for it) i refused to sign and is technically fraud but cant produce paperwork saying i signed it and i can produce paper showing i didnt sign it.
I feel the regulators are toothless to let GT consistantly get away with such poor handling of thier cases, and this isnt fair on the thier Customers and the Ip's who do abide by good customer service and fair practises.

Time to end of GT dealing with it...CC recieved after a battle royal !!
Are you saying that the IPA have refused to allow your complaint to be pursued? I would find that very strange if that is the case - and the regulators are most definitely not toothless in dealing with issues which require their attention.
They didnt respond to thier first complaint (Data protections breaches etc) until after 1 month deadline (after i pointed out the month was well past.) then lied about sending a letter asking about more time (letter arrived a week later post dated after thier claim)
2nd stage Complaint was ignored (acknowledged but never recieved a reply).
3rd stage was acknowledged and never recieved a reply.
Dozens of e-mails over subjects including the variance claimed for by GT when they bought my IVA (didnt tell me at time) they said they would get me copy of variance within 2 weeks (now over 2 months ago) and now refuse to even talk about thier problem (congratulations to Claire L Crowe on this bit).
Lots of attempted bullying trying to force me to do a final variance allowing them to remove cap on fees and increase fees from 15% to 25% or they would not be able to finish my IVA once they was told NO! in no uncertain terms all the problems suddenly didnt matter and i got my CC after so many threats of breach if i didnt sign it.
So pretty much they just clam up or if they do thier only reply was a breach threat, Big fish treating thier customers badly and making everyone else look bad we see the same story time after after time here and i know this is a only a small percentage of thier customer base but only a small percentage of thier clients see this site and only a small percentage of people actually bother complaining when things are wrong as they are scared of breach threats etc, so using same theory the problem is actually a lot bigger.
(And dont worry admins i have all of that in writing from them because i do keep records of every thing said and done so there is no legal problem forcing you to remove the post.)
Ok rant over im pushing the complaints against them until the end as its about time they answered for thier attitude and lack of professionalism and who knows miracles do happen and they might actually be brought to book for thier actions or lack of them as it is.

I have sent an email to Dominic Littlewood for the "Don't get done get Dom" Program
I really hope that they decide to do a program on this. They have received my email and will get back to me in due cause.
Lets see where this goes
Final Payment made Nov 2012 after 72 months
C of C received - 18/10/2013 - + 11 months
NOW Debt Free woo hoo
GT are still a joke
That is exactly what they have been saying to me and I have refused point blank on signing any variance. My IVA finished last Nov and they want me to sign a variance and pay them £500 fees, Told them I aint signing anything and just to get my CC sent out, I am really going down the complaints procedure and am also going to the media, It is not fair on people that complete an IVA and I did a 1 year extension and still completed,
Even dick turpin wore a mask

So why don't you all simply refer these issues to the IPA if you feel so strongly about the issues. I don't want to sound heartless here, but some of you have been posting about the same things on this forum for months. The IPs own regulatory body would be able to determine whether they have provided good or poor service - and to be honest if they don't uphold the complaint then there is really nowhere else to go.
These regulatory bodies are in existence for very good reasons - they regulate and monitor the activities of all members of my profession, and most of us who daily try to do a good job live in fear of any clients making referrals to them. Rather than clog up the forum with issues that none of us are able to resolve for you, why not simply take the matters t the regulators. It would probably speed things up for you in the long run, or at least enable you to draw an line under the complaints.
I have melanie as im sure many others have as well, its the same problem keeps popping up time and time again for people on this forum.
We,ll see what the IPA eventually does with mine and others cases but as it stands GT is happily bullying its way down its clientel list with impunity because of the long slow process they have for complaints and the lack of ability or desire to actually do thier job professionally.

But the IPA have an entirely different system and a very efficient method for dealing with complaints.
Look - I don't want to seem as if I am encouraging complaints to be made by or against anyone, but it is sad to see that this forum appears to be getting to be a beating up site of a few firms whose names seem to crop up all the time. It is really not fair for those of us who engage on the forum to continually have to advise on the same issues - and as I have said, the IPA may be the only way for them to be properly resolved.
We sympathise with anyone who is having a difficult time with their IVA, but at the end of the day we cannot do anything to help you with these issues.
Perhaps a sticky post would be in order whereby a short synopsis on steps to take for complaints with relevant links to IPA etc would help people understand what can be done and take some pressure of moderators / IP's on the forum..
Hi Melanie
Its not about beating up IP's or complaining for no reason but as you can appreciate I paid my IVA and struggled for 6 years which was including a 1 year extension. I never missed one payment and it infuriates me when after sticking to my side of the IVA at the end I am nearly 1 year after my last payment and still no sign of completion. I have documentary evidence that no payment was missed and now GT want me to sign for a variation and pay an extra £500 fees for an IVA that completed nearly a year ago. All I am asking for is my C of C so that I can move on in my life. I was told last November that it would take roughly 6 months for closures to complete due to PPI ect now nearly 1 year on it is still no finished. Mark Alan has sent me a letter, which I received this week stating the complaints procedure. Nothing about when I will get my C of C. Its just so frustrating

This information is readily available on the Insolvency Service website, and that of the IPA themselves.
Quite true the information is readily available on the web as is most of the information people seek answers to.
I was of the opinion that most people were seeking advice / assistance from those who may already have been through the same process and wanted confirmation that they were doing the right thing and wanted to vent their anger to some degree.
If you feel that the information is easy to find / understand for a novice then that is your opinion, as a lay person who has found out more about the whole IVA process from this forum than any other area (including my IP) I feel the site is an invaluable asset.
If the same question is answered 500 times then it only goes to show that access to information available via IP's and the web is just not good enough.
I agree with you nickjohn. The forum is fantastic. I stumbled upon it when searching google. I wish I was pointed out to it by my ip or the national debthelpline who I initially contacted after a google search in desperation to find help.
I think everyone who contributes to the forum is fantastic but im sure every question I have asked has been asked before on here. We are all lay people in the same circs so looking for help and unfortunately without being told by my ip where further help and guidance can be found I wouldnt know where to go....amd would probably have just worried.
The experts who give up there own time and post throughout their working days are invaluable and it may get frustrating answering the same queries. But everyone accessing the forum can see those companies who bother To respond even to those who arent ttheir clients and those who pnly respond to complaints or desperate pleas for help to those that dont.
The forum is more than forfilling the aspirations of andy in the way it operates now. Thankyou.

Guys - I will answer as many questions as I can on the forum, I do read every post and if I feel I can offer assistance I will post.
But all I want you all to know is that there is a very good regulatory system to send complaints to - starting with the IP firm themselves and ultimately the regulatory bodies. I don't think that there is an IP in practice who would not rear the prospect of a regulatory complaint - even I have had a handful over the years and thankfully they have all resulted in a satisfactory conclusion.
What is frustrating me is not that there are hundreds of people complaining about their IPs on the forum, but that they are not using the route of dealing with their complaint which is likely to get them the best possible outcome.
