My last payment was made on 1st Nov and I have not received my completion certificate. It says in the agreement that it can take up to six months, but it has not arrived. That’s now about 8 months. They say it’s this VAT thing, I said I didn’t care about that and asked them to close it and when they get the money give it to the creditors, but they said they couldn’t do that because they would have no account to pay it into. I have now received another letter asking for my signature to allow them to have a creditors meeting and "it is proposed that your case be closed without waiting for the VAT refund from HMRC". They say that when the refund is received they will now be able to give it to my creditors. They are asking me to sign a sheet of paper which says I agree to variations. My questions are: 1. How long can they legally keep this going if I have met my financial obligations as stated in the IVA? 2. They sent me a letter asking to claim back PPI after they had sent me a letter telling me my obligations regarding the IVA were at and end, I spoke to them and they said I did not have to sign the forms for them to claim it. (This was also confirmed by the solicitors they were going to use). 3. Why should I give them the right to claim PPI and charge an additional 10% of funds received (a success fee for a claim) and 25% fact find fee? 4. Allow the supervisor to be permitted to draw an additional fee of £50 to cover costs associated with the further meeting of creditors. As you can see it looks to me like the IP is trying to make more money for themselves. If they are saying PPI was an asset why were they only concerned in grabbing it after my IVA was finished? (I have two letters from them confirming I have no financial obligation to them anymore). Is there any way I can get this closed without signing anymore of my life away? I want rid of them but am unwilling to sign any variations when this should have been closed 8 months ago? My IP is Tenon by the way?
