Hi Everyone

Thought you would all be pleased to hear that I have heard from our IP and he has confirmed that the variation meeting had closed and my proposal was accepted!

I think everyone should be pleased with this result because without your support it would have never happened.

A big special thanks to Melanie, Andy, Brian , and to the others who showed symapthy and understanding.

I understand life with debt and it's consequences.

As a token of your support I will be around for as long as you want me to help others and give as much support as I can possibly can.

In many ways although I don't know many personally but I feel that there is a real good friendship here!

Once again a big thank you and I know there are not many happy moments on this site but please let us celebrate this as a result for the site because this is where it really belongs![:)]

Good point Andy

The statutory interest full charge on debts of £52,215 came to £10,817.21. We suggested £3,469.30 which we calculated as an interest charge of what our creditors would have got on normal deposit account basis.

Whilst we admit to losing it was better to offer to pay something rather than lose the whole lot.

I am sure a good healthy debate will arise on this issue and perhaps next time around we can look at it and see if we can better it!

Basically, I am a bit of a coward and thought getting 2/3rds was safer than nothing if you see what I mean.

The interesting point made by Brian at the meeting earlier in the month was the sale of the house within the IVA was it a windfall and the amount he considered excessive would it have met the other rule of there being sufficient funds.

I guess this will come up again and we will have the confidence to tackle it with perhaps more vigour!

Thanks again Andy

Just come back from a rest and spent time with the family recharging my batteries!

A big thank you to Melanie as I know you were away when the variation meeting took place which was succesful.

Without your advice it would have never have happened!
