I have everything that I need to send collected now. I am going to send it by registered post tomorrow morning. Over the last few days I have read as much as I can about IVAs and about procedures, so I am now fairly well clued up on them. It's all about confidence and self-believe now. A faith that things can change for the better.

Well done eveningstar.

I am such a believer in fate and everthing (however hard) happens for a reason.
If you do believe in that you are due much happiness in the future after all you have been through.[:)]

Glad you are sending back all your paperwork and glad you feel clued up about everything and have got good advice.

Best wishes and stay in touch with the forum as you will find it to be a great support

Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Thanks for the messages of support. If I went into more detail about my life, I think you'd think I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown! I just wish my dad would stop reminding me how bad and difficult my life has been up to this point. I do not require reminding about it. However, there are a lot of positive things in my life and they're worth holding on to. My greatest fear now is that the IVA will not be accepted. I have been told that I am a low risk candidate and that with the expert advice I am being given that it will be presented in the most favourable of terms. So, he's hoping!

What has been has been and I have learned to not dwell on things that have happened to look to the positive side and for improvement, to face things head on which I used to run from, then your life and your outlook is much better. Eveningstar you will be fine and life will be better because you want it to be.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful words of support, this is a wonderful forum to be a part of and very supportive.

My draft proposal is being sent to me this week and once I am happy with it I will be sending it back, then waiting to here when my creditors meeting will be.

Eveningstar, like you I am scared that my IVA will be declined, but I have to remain positive, as you do.

Thomas Charles and Wilson Phillips my IP said my case on paper looked great and from my list of creditors only MBNA would for sure say No to my proposal.

That is fine as they only hold a 6% vote. You have to get a 75% YES vote for you IVA to accepted. As long as you have that then the 25% that say NO have to go along with the proposal, so don't even be put off if you know some of your creditors you know may say NO.

Lets keep in touch on here as I'd love to know how you are getting on.

Keep strong and remain positive. You've been through so much in your life, but this is going to be your year.

Take care
xxx

Hi Davyhenn

I too have Thomas Charles and Wilson Phillips acting as my IP. I have just submitted all my documentation and sent off my letters to my creditors. I really hope it works out for us both.

Even with MBNA, I have been reading that they do sell on their debt a lot of the time. I expect due to the individual nature of an IVA, each case is, well, completely individual. In a nutshell I cannot afford to keep paying all my creditors and survive. I have a job which pays much less than before.

I hope that my guardian angel will be looking over me one more time.

I am on the whole positive and look for signs to try and remain so. Let's hope that 2008 is a year worth remembering and not like last year, which for me wasn't worth looking back on....
