what do you think of my idea [:p] i think the lottery should only be 4 numbers to win it anymore or less you get zero it will be easier to win this is how many won last week
Match 4 38540 £46 £1,772,840 the total prize fund was 4.5 million why dont they share the whole 4.5 million between all the winners of 4 balls?? to the everyday man in debt 10/20/30k etc or less is a lifechanging amount why give it all to one or 2 its badly shared out in my opinion[:(]

That's why its called a lottery, I mean would you put a £1 on a horse at 14,000,000 to 1. in the hope of winning a couple of million. Me thinks not. Lol

The chance to win millions of pounds is what attracts people. The chances of winning the jackpot are extremely slight, but someone does. If £4.5 million pounds was shared between people who got 4 balls last Saturday, each would have received £116 – that’s not going to attract too many punters.
Also, strange thought it may seem, 10/20/30k would not be a life changing amount to many people. If I won 30K on the lottery it would all have to go to my IVA. If I won 1 million pounds I would pay off my debts in full and still have 900K left. One thing that’s always struck me as odd about the lottery is the number of extra tickets bought when it’s a rollover, as if 2.5 million pounds isn’t enough to make you buy an extra ticket!

Yep, it's almost as though people think they have a better chance of winning on a rollover, yet statistically the odds remain the same.

I guess the pot is a bit bigger though, but as more tickets are brought the chances are that that bigger pot will be shared amongst more winners.

My only gripe with the lottery is some of the stuff they give money to.

I think it should all go to charities and good causes like that, and not to stuff like the Opera! Surely those sort of things can raise their own money!
