Just checked my Nationwide account and my salary hasn't hit my account either. It isn't going to cause us any problems for Friday like yours, Kallis, but not good all the same.

I just spoke to them again, it still isn't fixed but they are hoping it will be by the end of today. I will be checking my online banking during today and tomorrow. If it's not in by Friday I will be spending the day on the phone explaining to everyone why they haven't been paid!

I wouldn't bother trying to ring them John - it took 30 minutes for me to get through last time!

Hi, I don't think it's just Nationwide. My husband's wages haven't gone into our account and his boss says it's because of a problem with thier bank and a few others are having problems. They said the money should be in by Friday. I hope this is the case with my housing benefit aswell!! It's really not funny though is it!

It isn't funny jojo. When I last spoke to Nationwide, they said if I took proof of wages into a branch, I could withdraw up to £500. I don't want to do that though.

Hubby is on Incapacity Allowance, which fortunately we kept in the Post Office account, so we were able to withdraw that and use that for our shopping.

No way was I going to battle into my local branch to get money out which would have to be paid back in again!

Well, at least your bank offered to do that! Mine aren't interested!! At least my wages went in which will pay the bills on Friday! Landlord is NOT very happy though as the rent was due on the 26th and I promised it would be paid today! I'm having a serious sense of humour failure! It seems someone is trying to test me to my limits!
Well anyway, have a good night tonight! I know I'm going to!

That's a bit of a bummer jojo. There is a bit on Nationwides home page now about it and they have said they will honour any charges. Should think so too as it is their fault!

FD, thank you for your kind words. I'm not going to let it bother me now as there is nothing I can do about it.

Good news - I just checked the bank and the money is now there, so I can breathe again!

Hopefully if anyone else has had the same problem, it has now been resolved.
