Just an update people. Applied for the Halifax reward current account and accepted straightaway with no problems.

...wish I could go to Halifax - unfortunately, they were one of my creditors :(

Wife and I need a new joint account after First Direct found out about my IVA (yeah, before you all say it - I knew they would. Just glad they had already paid me the £100 for being a new customer beforehand!!!).
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

I have a Narwest Select account without an overdraft etc. applied for just before IVA, doesn't seem to have been any problems as of yet .... Fingers crossed though!

I'm like that happy for the time being, we'll see how things pan out. Always been treated better than with the longstanding bank who kept throwing money at me HSBC, would never go back there (not that they'd want me)!
