just want to know if this is normal practice, started our iva end of february still getting letters but mainly from natwest. We had an overdraft and loan with them which has gone into the iva. We also have our mortgage with them and all our payments are up to date and we have paid them on time etc etc. They have told me they are moving my mortgage account over to their recovery unit to monitor, they also want an income and expenditure from me and have said they will monitor all my payments and phone me every 6 months. I did say that my payments were fine and that i had completed an income and expenditure for my iva and i have had no problems paying my mortgage before. Is this normal for natwest to do?. [:(]

I've not personally heard of this Pollyann, the letters and correspondence should stop soon, I would pass them to your IP to deal with. Not heard of them moving the mortgage over to recovery department? You'll not default on your mortgage as it's provided for within your budget. Maybe one of our other posters have experience to this.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Pollyann,Our mortgage is with NatWest and they have been horrid,we are now paying monthly into the recovery department, they even sent someone to value our property!
Bunch of bullies.Like you we have always paid on time,no defaults, don't even owe them anything that has been put into our IVA!
Try not to worry, although I did, seems like that is their policy now. They seem to be leaving us alone at the moment,I don't see what they can gain from this practice??

Eke that doesn't sound good. Swift call to your IP I think.
My nemesis has been Barclaycard, they have persisted in contacting me and are rude and threatening. I have decided that if they want to take me to court that would be fine, like to see what a judge would make of their behaviour.
Last payment December 2019! OMG!

With NatWest I opened a basic account pre-IVA and used it all through the IVA...makes you wonder if they'll put a stop to that soon.

thanks everyone, i will let my ip know but i agree lin.r i think this seems to be what they do with everyone who has either gone bankrupt or in an iva, at least thats what they told me when i phoned to complain. I don't think i will give them an income and expenditure though as it has nothing to do with them, i am paying my full mortgage payment.

I agree about the income and expenditure as your mortgage payment IS definitely covered within your budget and until such a time as you experience problems with payments (which shouldn't happen within an IVA) they should leave you alone.
