I've been registered on there for a while but yet to do anything with it.

I do use it and buy frontline and worm tablets via it, anything basically that I can buy online as it all adds up to the cashback amount.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You'll be fine LadyH, get yourself a good driving instructor not a family member would be my advice!

I agree with Lesley, don't learn to drive with a family member! My mum used to sit with me and I'm surprised I passed to be honest as she made me so nervous!

Make sure you're comfortable with the driving instructor as well. I wasn't comfortable with mine and wasted a lot of money persevering, but when I switched to another instructor I passed my test.

Good luck, you'll be fine x

Ladyh remember if you dont like using gears in a car you can always opt for an automatic only licence. Makes driving much easier and will also allow you more time to concentrate on window shopping and your make-up whilst your driving:-)
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!

I passed my test in an automatic, and then re-took it in a manual 7 years later. I hate driving automatics now!

I am learning to drive and my Mrs won't put me on her insurance never mind teach me. She says I have to have a lot of lessons before she is going to let me drive her car. I am happy with my instructor because no matter what I do to his car he goes on to his next student. I don't have to face him every evening over dinner!

I do have to boast about this - when I passed my test in the manual (first time!) the examiner told me that if everyone drove like me his job would be a lot easier!

Dave found it very hard to believe, but it's true!

Knowing Michael's wife as well as I do, I completely sympathise! My husband thinks he is giving me driving lessons whenever he sits as a passenger in my car - which is therefore not very often and only on the odd occasion when I pick him up from the pub!!

Same here Melanie! Unfortunately I had to sell my car in August. Now we only have one car that I occasionally drive.

I think that driving is like riding a bike - once you have learned how to do it, you rarely forget! And being chauffered is quite nice too.

Mel, I know exactly what you mean! I hate driving Dave as he does nothing but criticise what I do!

Hi every one.
Some people may know me om this forum.
I completed IVA by making a Full and Final payment, I yhink a couple of years ago.
I don not know what my credit scoring looks like.
I want to build up my credit rating, hence am thinking of applying for a credit card.
I have recently received a Vanquis credit card application with out asking for it,I am tempted to apply, but am afraid of it being rejected.
I was in IVA only for an year and half after which I made a full and final settlement about two years ago
I am thinking of phoning to assess the situation. Is it wise?
I also see an TV advertisement for LUMA credit card on TV, has any one any informatuon about them,They mention about about Bankruptacy, which has to be one year before applying.
any information about building credit rating and getting a credit card just inmproving would be helpful.
Thanks.
Hara
