Cut along story short, in the process of buying a house the mortgage as been taken through my wife plus a gift of money. i am paying the repayments back, easily done, out of an iva, no other loans got salary not a problem.

BUT AND A BIG BUT

We are short by 10k, tried to get a loan with abbey they said no, they put in contact with another company who said no, phoned another company who are a broker for people with bad debts, they didnt do a credit check but told me they 99% sure they could get me a lender, the loan term was 5 years at £227 a month compare with high street bankers of £205 a month, but i have to pay them a fee of £59, if it doesnt work out for what ever reason i get the £59 back less £5, but it will take 5 days to srt out, a credit check will not be done till they have found a lender.

Now can they really get me this loan, or does anybody knwo of anybody who can

Don't do it james.c, sounds to me like you have been put in touch with an unsecured loan broker, in my opinion you won't get the loan and you won't get your money back either, unless you are prepared to fight for up to 6 months, at which point most people will just give up.

Save up instead, there is every likelihood that property prices will still fall in the immediate short term so that you may be where you want to be sooner than you would imagine.
