i have made my last payment in october that was a reduced payment, today we have received a letter saying we cant re mortgage so the iva ha been passed to to repayment plan team, this has caused huge stress to my partner and i as i cant ring til monday, the main thing to mention is im having my 3rd baby in 16 days (this was planned around the iva) and im now on maternity leave (half pay), im really worried as hubby is taking 2 weeks pat leave too
DFD were really good when I couldn't get a remortgage, they didn't even ask for an extension. I'm sure you'll be fine especially if you explain your circumstances.
"Just when you think that you can make ends meet, somebody moves the ends."
Similarly I've read other forum members have found DFD to be both sympathetic & realistic with people in similar cases to yourself. I would add also that I suspect the impending arrival of our baby ( congratulations by the wy ! ) will assist in ensuring your iva ill conclude without need for further payments or an extension of term .
Dont stress over the weekend. Tell yourself all will be ok an dim pretty sure you will find DFD will assist when ou call them Monday.
Last payment made April 2012
Certificate received 1st Nov 2012
I would also try emailing your IP directly rather than going through the general number, mine replied very quickly to enquiries, I even or replies a the weekend.

Hi and welcome Pixie, did you have a minimum dividend to reach, if so was this due to the equity in your house at the outset of your IVA? You will need to dig out your agreement to see what it says in the event of not being able to re-mortage etc.
I am with DFD, my IVA was for 60 mths, i had a minimum dividend to reach and part of that was based on whatever equity could be released from the house, unfortunately due to the downturn of the housing market this wasn't feasable, my house is now worth less than i paid for it, however during the course of my IVA my contributions have been increased due to pay rises and such like so to reach that 63p in the pound i only had to make a further payment of just over £700, end of IVA.
I would definately dig out the documents and have a read, have you sent in a valuation for your house and demonstrated that you can't re-mortage?
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
i have spoke to my supervisor today who was lovely, i couldnt help myself getting upset over all of it, they are calling a meeting of creditors to see if they can avoid extending the iva due to the baby. There was a shock tho as i was told i was only paying 55p to the pound and i was under the impression we were paying 61p this had been changed and i was not informed of it, they are saying that we still owe 5k, and there isnt equity in the house. It would not be in the creditors interest to make us bankrupt as this would cost them too much. We will have to wait til after christmas to find out when the meeting will be. Please everyone keep us in your prayers and pray we can give this little one the start in life that we so badly want to.
We most certainly will all be right behind you pixie - and as you have already recognised, there is more to life than worrying over a few unaffordable debts. Put your faith in DFD, who are a good firm, and rest assured that they will do their very best for you on the day.
