Thanks guys - sounds like the best port of call is to read the reviews of the ip's and go with my gut - from there let them give the best advice - seems like alot of you have had some good things come around after speaking to the professionals !!

One more question though ?? lol

How do the fees work out ie; how much does it cost generally and how do you pay ??

cheers again - chuffed i've found you all

Jonny

Hi Johnny, I am also new to the forum and I have had loads of great advice over the last few weeks from reading the forum. I also found it useful visiting the www.iva.com website as you can read reviews on the IP's. We decided to go with Melanie Giles, you may have seen her posts on the forum I have not read a bad word against her and her team are very helpful and friendly too.
Welcome to the forum and good luck whatever you decide to do[:p]

Hi Jonny, welcome from me too!
You're in the right place and can't go wrong by having a word with one of the experts.

the fees differ but they are paid out of the monthly contributions you make and are agreed by and paid by the creditors.

Hi Johnny

It is very important that you understand the way IP fees are calculated, although unless you end up paying 100% of your debts back you will not be directly funding these yourself.

Our basis of charging fees has to be presented to creditors as part of the IVA proposal, and they will either agree those charges or put their own basis forward. A mutually acceptable level of fee is then agreed and the case progresses on that basis.
