Hi and sorry if this has been said hundreds of time but I am shortly coming to the end of my Iva (Iva start 25/06/2013) and then waiting until it drops off my credit file 6th year which is actually tomorrow!! Thank god! Question is when would I be able to apply for a mortgage and have a realistic chance of getting approval? I have been assured by aperture that my completion certificate will finally be here within a week although actions speak
louder than words.

If you get the certificate within a week it would count as a modern miracle -- we shall see.

Ryan has some contacts with HtB providers: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=18488

I have been pestering them for the past 3 months and sent an email to my ip to rush it on. Hopefully they will live up to their word!
Thanks for the link. Should I wait for the completion certificate or see how the land lays now? I don’t want to rush as want to do it right

We have access to High Street Lenders who will look to lend under the Help to Buy once your Completion certificate has been issued. Feel free to contact us now though so that we can get everything in place for then so that we can get an Agreement for you as soon as possible.

Now would certainly be a good time to start looking at it and there will be lenders willing to consider an application.

Going to give him a call now! Would you believe it I’ve had an email from aperture and they’ve sent me my completion certificate! Feels amazing 6 of the hardest years over. Just a few loose ends to tie up with bpf having a wrong default date then my file should be squeaky clean. Emailed insolvency register today and they will remove the Iva within 3 days too! Result!!

Coming off the register in 3 days is great news - just shows they can do it, that should give hope to others.

Can I suggest you save that email and print several copies of your certificate... you may need it in the future.

Well done and good luck with your next mission !

Right I don’t know where to start and I still can’t believe it but we are now the proud owner of our 4 bed new build after 6 years 6 months post Iva (start) I need to say a massive massive thank you to mike and carol from zebra who got me the mortgage from the high street with a fantastically competitive interest rate. I firmly believe if it wasn’t for zebra we would not be home owners of our dream home so thank you so much you have made our dreams come true and for this I will always be grateful. A note to others in my situation is this, get the Iva completion, chase creditors for incorrect information and once your files are clear and you want a mortgage get on the damn phone to zebra and live your dream!!

Great news for you and pleased that the team at Zebra have been able to help you achieve this.
Sadly Mike passed away a few weeks ago, but he certainly has helped over the years to bring so much joy to peoples lives, along with Ryan and his other team members.

Keep in contact with the forum and let us know how you go on. Best wishes for a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year.

That’s terrible I had no idea. In the first few weeks of application carol took over and was told he had gone sick but didn’t realise. Thoughts to his family RIP
