Hi,

Hubby's car now needs a further £800 to put right. Different problems this time. We have decided enough is enough, we cannot keep throwing money at this car. We have reviewed our finances and due to a pay rise and bonus I am having in December, we would like to lease /buy another car.

I just want to make sure this would not break the IVA rules. The IVA is in hubby's name and as long as we can make the agreed amounts to his IP, which we now know we can, do you foresee any issues with us taking this route? Afterall, it is my money paying for the car. If its not an option I'll put my thinking cap back on [;)]...its only another challenge!

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Thanks Julie xx

If its your money that you are using I wouldt have thought there was a problem. Especially if the IVA is not in your name!
Steve.

IVA approved!

I would have thought that would be allowed Julie, it's essential and as you say, you can't keep losing money. I'm really sorry about all this, stay strong. X

Thanks guys - I thought it would be okay but just wanted reassurance [:)].

I'm okay with it all, just had another fab meeting with my boss, I feel like the golden girl at the moment, hope it lasts! Just want to put an end to the car problems.

I've emailed IP to see what he says....won't hold my breath for a reply though.

I've also contacted Melanie via her website as I'm sure she had a contact for car leasing.

Keep you updated [:)]

Good luck getting this sorted out Julie. I can't think of any reason that you couldn't do this - if it's your money surely you can do what you like with it?

Hi There,
If you've seen my posts - proir to June 2008 - you will see that I went through the process of getting a lease car. It was completely hassle free and I now have a brand new Peugot 207cc which came taxed!!
Iam with leaseline and they were aware of my IVA before we started looking at cars. My old posts will give you the telephone number for Gary Beedle, who i dealt with - he was super, non judgemental and very friendly.
I hope that helps and if you need more info just let me know.
Good luck,
Chardonnay

Thanks guys...I'll take a look at leasline. I may transfer my car to him and I'll take a lease out as the IVA is only in his name.

Mind you I can't see hubby liking driving my almera...not good for his image [:D][:D]
