New Halifax Overdraft Fees

I received a letter today from the Halifax stating that my High Interest Current Account will now be changing to the Halifax Current Account.

In the new changes it states that the below fees for overdrafts are coming into force in December.

* Arranged overdraft up to £2,500 - you will be charged a fee of £1 per day.

* Arranged overdraft over £2,500 - you will be charged a fee of £2 per day.

* Unarranged overdraft, you will be charged £5 per day!

I think the above new overdraft charges by the Halifax is a pretty good deterrent to not have an overdraft and may discourage people going overdrawn; but it looks like another money maker for the bank, even though they have made their charges more clearer. Its a good job i'm never going to have an overdraft again!
