After my post the other night about my partner losing his job at the end of the week and redundancy, my partner now has a new job which he starts on Monday.
His old job was 26 hours and the new one is 40 which is a bonus, but we wont be much better off at present as because he is now working full time our tax credits will drop from 55 per week to around 16 as we claim for childcare.
We will be £65 per month better off but the job is further away so will need more money for petrol and will need extra for bus fare as his hours mean he wont be able to take me to work or my daughter to nursery.
If I explain this to my IP will I be able to continue to make our normal payments?
Hi Moneysaver09 good news on the new job - that was quick work!
Your IP should be absolutely be fine with that as although the income increases the disposable income does not change dut to incurred additional expenses and change in benefits.
Let us know how you get on but there should be no reason for a problem. Hope the first day in the new job goes well!
