Hope others with new jobs are ok xx

Glad it went ok Julie.

Sometimes it takes a bit of time to settle down.

Thanks Jan,

I feel guilty as I haven't had a lot of time for the forum this week. By the time I get home and take Dobby out....not enough hours in the day [:D]

I'll try to catch up with posts over the weekend [:I]

My job isn't too bad at the minute as it's been Easter Hols! lol. We start teaching again on Monday but I'm hoping to go back more positive.

I had my mid year appraisal on Thursday and as the College is on the move as we're having a new College built there will obviously be new positions and as I like marketing it was pointed out to me to do some training in respect of this in the new academic year.

You've mentioned marketing before Lesley, this could be your opportunity to go down that route [;)]

Thanks all, not sure which direction I'm going but I do know I'm giving up teaching as I'm pretty much burnt out x

Lesley - marketings a good career path, plenty of opportunity to flex your creative muscles. Seeing a marketing campaign from design to implementation and then seeing positive results is massively rewarding.

Although, not sure if its as rewarding as teaching and the holidays arent as long!

Thanks Hannah! The holidays aren't as long but I do really dislike teaching at the minute....this morning I had to invigilate an exam where a student thought it ok to get up, make a coffee and read the paper and then recommence the exam....no matter what I said he said it didn't say in the rules/procedures he couldn't as he wasn't leaving the room and it didn't mention leaving a live exam paper unattended, needless to say he's going to fail! eek did I really say that!

What a lovely student you had there Lesley [:0]

I have to visit our Hull depot on Monday, so travelling upto Derby ( I think) on Sunday, straight after middle granddaughter's 5th Birthday party! Then meeting a depot manager at 9am Monday to go to Hull. Sounds like fun..not!

Just think of it as a day out on the firm Julie! At least you're not stuck in the office all the time.
