One strictly for the fellas

If you wake up one morning
And look in the Mirror
And you see a beer belly
Bald head, big red nose
Varicose veins
And a complexion like old leather
Look on the bright side ...
At least your eyesight is OK

[:D][:D]

And one for the ladies (and mebbe some fellas)

Mirror Mirror
Shiny glass
Pleases tell me
Thats not my ass!!!

[:D][:D]

Good morning all ... feeling better today except for a really bad case of cramp which I woke up with a 4.30 am and has still not cleared up despite lurching up and down the village street like a demented zombie.
I think I better visit the doc on Monday.

On a brighter note. Yesterday afternoon, in the paper I saw a local shop advertising a sale, and one of the items was a set of Anthony Worrel Thompson's (I think I have his name right) pans. Normally £90 reduced to £20. So I rang 'em up and am collecting them today. I've not had a new toy for ages so am going to play with them this pm and make a lovely lamb stew.

Have a great day everyone, remember we are all one day nearer freedom

[:D]Ray you do brighten my day!

Glad you're feeling a bit better - think you should visit doc though. I could have lurched up the street with you - had one of those nights when sleep evades me.

Mmm lamb stew - sounds lovely. x

Morning Ray,

Do you have an awful cramp in one calf, today?

Both legs Lily ... but the left is worse. Its easing off now but still tender. I have had this before but it usually clears up after 10-15 minutes. I'm ringing the docs on Monday because I do have circulation problems and I also take diuretics which is not a good combination.

Ok Ray

I think it is intermittent claudication caused by a decreased amount of oxygen, like you say bad circulation, walking that off is the best cure BUT, if you get pain in one calf, and it measures more than the other, its not good Ray, and you cant leave it until Monday. It could be DVT. I am sure its fine though.

Take care of yourself, wont you?

The cold, damp weather doesn't help either.

We'll all be round for the stew later Ray.

Morning Ray [:)]

So glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Mmmm, Lamb Stew, just what you want on a day like this. My Mum-in Law makes a lovely Big Pan of Lamb Stew ( she calls it scouse[:D]) and freezes some of it to make a pie which is absolutely yummy[:p] I'm starting to feel hungry now but on the Kazzy Diet so will just have a sandwich. I'm waffling so will go now but make sure you ring Docs on Monday. We will nag if you don't [:D]

Ray, glad you are feeling better.

What a bargain those pans are!

Your stew sounds lovely - I'll be round for my share later![:D][:D]

My lamb stew is in the oven now and total cost (not counting the pans) is £4.40 and will feed 2 for 3 days with a bit of crusty bread. Beat that Jamie Oliver [:D][:D]

Well if you're all coming I best do me famous ...... Elephant Stoo ...

ELEPHANT STOO

1 medium size elephant
5 lbs. black pepper
20 lbs. salt
1 red pepper (optional)
1 Clove Garlic
100 lbs. onions
300 lbs. potatoes
200 lbs. carrots

Cut elephant into bite-size pieces. Place in 10,000 gallon stock tank filled with water. Add spices, onions, potatoes and carrots. Bring to a boil over charcoal briquettes and cook for 6 days or until meat is tender.

Serves approximately 1000 people. If you are expecting a few more guests, a rabbit or two may be added, but is not always advisable, for some people do not like "hare" in their stew!
