I would have stayed with Think if I could have transferred money online but I didn't want to have to hold on for ages every month - not when I was paying for the call! I do think One Banking have shot themselves in the foot by charging £1 to transfer money online though.

How are you getting on with the Co-op Andy?

Hi Andy

Just had an idea, why dont you invite someone from Thinkbanking onto IVA TV to discuss Thinkbanking and also the problems i.e the long call waiting and so on.

That would be excellent Andy.

I told think banking last week that I was going to close the account and goto the abbey, the lady said that she completely understand as they are not offering the service they should be, but they cant refund the fee of £12.50 a month, and said that if I wanted to come back later in the year or later in my IVA i can do, just give them a call.

Hi all, I've been with OneBanking a couple of months now and all I can say is - BEWARE! They have caused me endless problems - least of all the inability to have direct debits! When I've used my debit mastercard at Tesco particularly it deducts the value twice! I then have to call in to get them to review the balance and arrange a credit. Although Natwest is behind this innitiative, all transactions are managed by Mastercard in the US - so any deposits made only clear into the account between 9am and 10am (apparently!)... money that is due to me on a Friday of every week is only available to me on Monday afternoon! I have also paid utility providers over the phone and the card has been declined - even though the amount has been deducted!!! Any refunds required take a minimum of 48 hours ... I've had money go "into a holding account" for 8 days before they released it back to me... all very inefficient and you never quite know when its going to go wrong next. Certain cash machines give you money - some won't and some are limited to the amount of cash they'll release to you... the list goes on and on! I have very recently successfully opened a Abbey account - and will definitely be saying good bye to OneBanking and their £12.50 monthly fee!

If members are looking out for a pre-paid VISA debit card it might be a good idea to check out www.clearcash.co.uk.
It claims to be nearly 50% cheaper than any competitor, and will soon be offering a bill payment feature.
It would be great to have feedback on this from any forum member [:)]
