yes i agree the more ip`s the better as reading the posts all are different from one another.in a previous post i mentioned helping in here would be good for buissness but i am now of the opinion melanie goes well above the call of duty she never misses replying to any questions and is a thorough proffesional who loves her job. by the way i havent got shares in her company and she isnt my ip but the facts and feedback are there to see [:)]so if i was venturing down the `iva `route i would make her my first call.
She even served in our armed forces in her younger days come on mel change your picture we want to see the camoflage[:D]

Hopefully, they will take on board the struggles and challenges that people like us face on a day to day basis while trying to sort out our cash problems.
I think that if they are here for the good of the posters as well as their clients, they will become a helpful and important part of us, like Melanie, Ian and Paul have become(sorry if I've missed any other experts)
It's nice to be back......

I agree with indebt. I was already on the road to my IVA with Payplan, but would probably have used Melanie if I had discovered this site earlier.

It's great that IP's post as the majority of us, whilst knowing a little bit about the processess, don't know everything and cannot always answer questions and allay peoples fears.

The experts will always put people right, and you know the information is correct. I'm always worried about putting the wrong thing down. I have done so before and it is usually Melanie who comes on with the correct answer!

Guys - the true experts are all of you who freely give of your own time to help each other. We "techies" are only here to ensure that correct advice and steerage is given in the event that inappropriate comments are made which might confuse people.

We cannot replicate the hints, tips and just enormous amount of support that is freely shared amongst all of you - and thankfully, but particulary, as none of us ourselves are likely to have been in debt, we cannot fully appreciate some of the dark times all of you have been through - although we do try to!

I learn something new from each of you every single day, and it is a real education to be part of this very valuable community. The more IPs who post on the site, hopefully the more this will enhance the discussion both amongst professionals and consumers alike.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

As Melanie has said we are ones who know what it is like to be in this situation although I am sure as Melanie said the professionals do try to understand what it is like but with all of us unless we have experienced a situation we don't know what it like. So I feel the more professionals on the site they may get a better understanding of what people are going through the issues they face and the difficulty some people had just phoning a company. Also the illness people can have though the stress and the worry. So I feel more experts the better, so if some are looking for or will get business from the site does it matter as long as people are fully informed of what they are doing and read the advice of trying different companies before they agree to anything.

I think this site is a very good mix of the expert opinion and the support from people who either have been, or are in, the same situation.

Long may it last!

Hi All,
I'm glad i started this debate, the posts have been so interesting. I've just read Blair Endesby's post and I feel more re-assured. Hopefully they will learn from Melanie and the other experts that communication, support and understanding of their clients position can only strengthen their share of the market place.
As others have said the real experts on how to survive an IVA are us - the ones going through it - and know I get withdrawl symptoms when I'm away with work and can't check the site to see that you are all OK.
Love & hugs,
Chardonnay

Can I just say that anyone who wants to remain anonymous should take their real names out of their profiles - that was how my IP definitely knew who I was!

I've taken mine out now, just in case. Don't mind the signature bit as there are lots of Jan's out there.
