I just didn't like it Ang - it was like a big warehouse with a load of machines crammed in. It took me ages to get home as the traffic was really bad and I was just really disappointed!

Never mind skippy, you can excercise just as well without the gym. I used to go but couldnt manage or face it at the moment and the machines all confused. I prefer my walking, I love swimming but my hair doesnt like chlorine its very dry and very thick so I have to avoid it otherwise that is where I would go. Nobody wears swim hats now,as a child everyone did, I would wear one if everyone else looked silly too.

I can't swim very well and I worry I'll end up with green hair! I've got about 6 weeks left on my membership at my old gym so I'll use that, and then out comes the trainers and the bike!

Right I've weighed and I'm 15.3, achieved my target. Next weeks target for me 15 stone. It's not been too bad losing but realise it will get harder and not done much exercise apart from walking. My motivation is lacking on the exercise front.

Well.. although I didn't think I had done very well - through my bleary half asleep eyes the scales looked like they were saying I'd lost a pound - not sure where it's gone!!!

Everyone is doing so well - lets keep it up

I still haven't plucked up the courage to start cycling to work yet - bit too wet and cold!

I knew it would be tough this week as was with my boss and colleage for 3 days and had lunches and dinners out with them.
This means I have only lost 1lb but it is still a loss which I did not expect, and I've saved on food sopping this week as eaten out which my boss paid for[:)]

Just wanted to say well done to everyone. You're all doing really well [:D]

Just one comment though. Try not to be too obsessed with how much you weight. Your BMI, size and overall fitness is much more important.

Here's a site that'll help you work out your BMI.
http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/magazine/in ... index.aspx

It's actually quite a good site from the NHS about weight, exercise, etc.

Hope this helps [:D]

9 more days before I feel human again (apparantly!!)[:D][:D][:D]

Can I just say that BMI isn't always a good indication of health as it doesn't take into account muscle. If you go by BMI alone Brad Pitt and the entire England rugby team are obese!

Hi there. We weigh on a monday but saved it to say on thursday with everyone else. I have lost 3lb and hubby 4lb. We have been really good though and I have a fair bit to lose. Keeping the excercise up is hard when working nights but I have walked home to fit it in, though my feet could drop off after a 10hour shift.

Hi all

Really well done to everybody. I am absolutely amazed to find I have lost 4lbs this week! Must be all that power walking with my dog. Even he's getting his waistline back!

Keep up the good work for next week.

Lots of love

Liz

Hi ladyh I am in my 28th year of working nights (madness) I find trying to diet the most hardest at work as you say, I have had a real struggle. I have just been taking salad , no sandwiches and no crisps which is what I always took. The problem is the sweets and bickies the patiens leave all the time. I have picked them up and put them out of sight as soon as I have got to work. My other hurdle was as the tiredness hits at about 2 am was to go and have half a dozen biscuits and a cup of tea. I have been taking a piece of fruit instead, but I still want the bickies. The last prob is they all have toast in the morning. I have managed to avoid for six nights now, and didnt seem so bad this morning. I would rather save breakfast for when i get home, and after walking the calories will burn quicker for while. Replaced breakfast this morning with a slimfast shake, and was ok. Nights definately not easy it takes some willpower.

Bit of a late start I know but I'd also like to join. Weight 11st 12 (5ft 2) would like to weigh anything less than 10st. Lost about 3lbs this week but more down to dreaded noro virus I think.
