Here it goes!

5'2 and 10st 12lb

I would dearly love to get back down to 9st 7lb but anything under 10st would be a bonus!

Started well this morning with a bowl of muesli but then someting had to conteract the jam steamed suet pudding I had last night with several glasses of red wine!!!

Just want to say good luck to everyone!

What a great response this thread has had. I am 5ft 7" and currently 10 stone 51bs.

The naughty bit is I am an ex Physical Training Instructor DOH!

Usually weigh around 91/2 -10 stone so would love to join in with the rest of you.

Any questions on exercise I would love to help any of you.

Has anybody got any good low fat recipes?

We (Family of 6) had a lovely low fat meal for tea last night of mixed salad (Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, spinach, pine nuts and Free range eggs) with wholemeal pittas filled with lean turkey which I had cooked with dijon mustard, honey, garlic fresh ginger and herbs. It was lovely and very low fat.

For breakfast this morning we had porridge made with water and a little honey to sweeten - low fat and the carbs keep you going until lunch time, so no need to snack.

So as I have done so well I am off for a big Mac and fries!! Only joking steering well clear of there!!

Loving the idea of the 5K fun run and the pint at the end sounds good too!! I guess it is apint of carrot juice though, hey??? LOL!!

Anyway good luck to you all!!

I used to hate PTIs when I was in the Army with a vengeance! What you need to do is a good CFT!

Hi everyone

Can I join WW too please? I really need the motivation of group support but have not the finances to attend a class. I am giving Slimming World a go (found all my old books etc from the last time I attempted it) and my weight as of today is 14 stone. I would like to lose 3 and a half stone.

Good luck everyone.

Looking forward to seeing how much we have all lost by the next "weigh in".

Cheers

Liz

Hi all

Oh my god I am the heaviest on the forum........so far
Here goes I am 5'5 and weigh 17st4lbs[:0][:I][:0][:I]
Thought about not posting weight but no good if I don't do that as I need to keep motivated - as I have said before I have already lost 1st 4 lbs over the last few months andwould like to get to around 10stone mark......

Long way to go....but the way I look at is it has taken me a long time to get to this weight so I know its going to take a while to come off again.

LOL!! Melanie, I've done a few CFT's in the past great for character building!!

Not so good for shin splints lol!!

Hey Emma good on you!! great that you have lost over a stone, keep on going you will get there.

If it helps remember "PMA" not the womens monthly version lol!! but "Positive Mental Attitude" basically your body will only do what you tell it. So next time you go into Town and go to go on the lift or esculator think positive and take the stairs, walk wherever posible even swing your leg etc when sat still - that way you will alwys be burning calories!!

A good tip is to measure yourself rather than weigh all the time as you may find your weight fluctuating but at the same time you could be losing inches.

Best of luck!!

I have been for my 20min walk since monday and today even though i had just finished a night shift I made myself go, and have to say it felt easier than when I started I am going to add a little bit each week the odd hill etc and see how I go. Dinner tonight was a small amount of bolognese and some pasta, and for a sweet treat raspberry sorbet, from tesco's. Feel ok and managed the salad at work and avoided the shortbread that sat on the table in front of me all night. Am just going to have muesli at work for my dinner at miodnight !..
Will post any loss next thursday.

I can beat that emma t. Do I get a prize for being the heaviest. I joined slimming world a couple of months ago and have lost a stone so far but still weigh in at a whopping 18 stone 13 1/2 pounds. I'm 5ft 10 (just as well really). I get weighed on a Wednesday night so I will post my weight the following day.

Would like to get to about 14 stone which would make me a 16/18. (hubby likes big girls)

dee

How do you find the slimming world eating plan?
Is it easy to follow?

I think out of all the slimming clubs what I have read about slimming world seems to make the most sense and easier to follow than some others

I don't think i can attend classes as my work is in sales on the road so very unpredictable hours but I can get my hands on the books to follow at home

Good Luck

I find it really easy. I can honestly say that I dont feel that I deprive myself very much and you definately never go hungry cause there is so much choice from the free food section. It has taken me a while to lose my 1st stone but thats how intend to do it. I have lost weight almost every week since I started going even if its only a pound.

I used to go to SW and it worked really well (I lost 2st) but I got fed up with trying to work out the red and green days. I find Weight Watchers less restrictive and easier to follow, but it doesn't work as quickly!

it really is a case of horses for courses and do whatever fits in with your lifestyle.

I think the thing to remember is the weight took time to get put on and will take time to come off again and if you do a steady balanced healthy eating instead of starvation you have a much better chance of success.
A few years ago I went to one of Paul McKennas weight loss seminars - apparantly this works for 75% of all people who do it - oh well I must be in the 25% it doesn't[:(] Some of the principles are really good and can be incorporated within any eating plan and when I dig out the course notes I will post the main 'rules'
Good luck to everyone[:D]
