Hello, i am new to posting i have however been lurking for a few weeks! Have just got a date through for the 18th August for mine and hubbys IVA creditor meeting. Thank goodness as we started this process back in April so it has been dragging. I just have a quick question, our biggest debt is with Northern Rock and i am getting a bit worried as it seems they dont often accept ivas, is this really the case? Any replies would be greatly appreciated, good to know im not on my own!

Hey babyfantastic, welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to post. Good luck for your creditors meeting. Melanie has always said that NR are great to work with and will accept IVAs if they know it's the best solution. Usually Melanie approaches them first just to find out how they will vote. I'm sure the experts will be along to advise you. Keep posting. X

Wow! how quick are you all at replying! Thank you so much for your kind words. It is a worrying time, i know this sounds cheesy but this site is really great at supporting and just generally making you feel better. Even though i have only just started posting instead of lurking, it has made a real difference to me over the past few weeks, thank you all so much x

If you and your IP are putting forward the very best proposal possible, then I am sure that it will be accepted by creditors. Good luck!

Hi from me too.

Northern Rock have had a bit of a battering on this forum since i have been posting but more recently, they seem to be accepting a lot more proposals. As others have said, if its your very best offer you should be ok on the day.

Good luck for the meeting date and i hope its a positive outcome for you xxxx

Welcome to the forum. I am fairly new on here too, but everyone has been so friendly and helped me. Even though I have been in an IVA for 2 and half years and it was the best decision I made, I still need support.
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

Welcome from me too, I've been in my IVA since Feb 08 so relatively a newbie, loads of support going here and not always debt related. Keep posting and good luck for the 18th.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

welcome....as some of the posts already said...we all need support...no matter how long we lurk or how long we have been in IVA...or how long we have been on forum...anyone who knows debt and how it causes stress etc will understand the need for a place like this....
