Hi

After posting on here a couple of days ago that my partner had not had a nil tax code applied to him, he now has! We receved a letter today from HMRC stating that an NT code will be applied to him from now. Does this mean that he will not be paying tax from now till April 2010 or does it go on longer then the current tax year? Does he go back to normal tax code after April?

Also it says the the tax he has been paying from October (when we were declared BR) till now will be paid back to the OR. Does this mean the HMRC will be sending back to the OR because he's already paid it out of his wages? We won't have to pay it out again will we?

The NT tax code should just apply until April and HMRC will rebate the money to the OR. Nothing to worry about.
