Variation meeting was today. Hubby was told that they would call him at 4pm but they didnt.
Does anybody know any reasons why they may not call on the day?
Is it likely to be bad news?
Im not holding out much hope.

Thats rotten to be left not knowing but my only thought is that if it was a straight no then you would have got a call so maybe your IP has a few ruckles to iron out and all will be well . Hope you hear soon.

Oh what a shame you didn't find out today, I was just wondering how you got on..
Don't give up maybe they just didn't hear in time or are still discussing the offer.
Keep your chin up and I hope you hear some news in the morning

They should have called you if they promised to either way. Get your husband to call them first thing tomorrow morning to find out the outcome.

When we did our F&F, our meeting was at 10.00 am. I rang them at 2pm to be told that they wait until close of business to make sure they receive all the votes. We had to wait for them to ring us the next day once they had collated all the votes (only 2 creditors in the end RBS and Max Recover!!)

Never understood why we had to wait. Why put an exact time for the meeting when they wait until the end of the day for any late votes etc??

Maybe your IP works in a similar way?? I hope that you get the result you want.

They should not be waiting for votes for so long - unless the meeting has been adjourned which ought to have been explained to you. The meeting should only last for a maximum 1/2 hour, and if there is no outcome it does need to be formally adjourned.

A maximum 14 day period. I suggest that he makes the payment as it is probably due under the terms of the arrangement.
