That would be difficult as well, but contacting PayPlan by phone is a side issue. The point I'm making is that during my IVA contact was great, but now it's finished it seems to have deteriorated.
I really don't see why any firm should be waiting for a creditor to respond to them at the end of an IVA - as presumably all claims were agreed years ago and regular dividends have been paid subsequently. I also don't see the point in doing the work to issue an annual report, when at the same time a closure report could be done. It takes around 15 minutes to close an IVA and issue the final report - but I hasten to confirm that I don;t know the full facts of these cases.
It's getting beyond a joke now. I found the time to call them yesterday but after being on hold for almost 5 minutes I had to hang up. I then sent another e-mail direct to my case worker as well as one through PayPlanPlus but no reply to either. That's two e-mails direct to my case worker and two messages via PayPlanPlus with no response to any. If they have nothing to tell me, tell me that. At least it will stop me bothering them for a bit. I'll try to call them tomorrow.
I understand your problems with speaking on the phone to payplan Sensible 77 as I have the samething. I work in an open plan office so there is no way I would wish to speak on the phone there. There is no where to hide to speak on a mobile. I have gone into the park when I have had to phone them but it is not easy.
I have had trouble getting responses to emails and payplan plus.
Back on track may have a point there. I agree that the way that are treating you is intolerable, Sensible 77. Perhaps a kick up the proverbial would get them moving. As you say, what would it cost to say that at the moment they have nothing more to tell you? Keep at them as and when possible. I hope that it's over soon for you!

Thanks for the responses. I work in a similar environment to Country Girl. Still no responses to my e-mails and I think that if I've not received a response by now, I'm not getting one. I will try to get some time tomorrow to call them and if I get no joy after that I may contact Samuel Jepson who represents PayPlan on this forum.
Hope you get something sorted soon Sensible 77. I have to ssy Payplan did not used to be like that, it is only in the last couple of years. I do wonder if they have more cases than they can handle.
I have now received a reply to my e-mails. They have said that there is a PPI issue with one of my creditors where they have offset the PPI refund against their debt instead of allowing it to be distributed amongst all creditors. They have also said that they can't give me a timescale as to how long this will take to sort out. I have responded to PayPlan and asked why the variation late last year which was agreed by all creditors to allow the issuing of the CC with on going PPI claims hasn't been applied in this case. The relevant wording on the variation form is "Where the debtor has completed their obligations under the IVA approved by the creditors, the debtor will be issued with a completion certificate, subject to them completing any requests for information and documentation relating to possible PPI or similar claims." I've also asked who the creditor is as they've not been named. Even though I'm no further on, I feel a little better in that I've received a response to my enquiries. That's all it takes.
Hi Sensible 77, the creditors who sought to do that [offsetting] in my case were evidently Capital One and MBNA; as far as I know, neither issue was resolved with or by EIF at the time that my cc was issued - I have certainly not heard anything; and I phoned them [EIF] only recently [within the last 4 weeks - so after the issuing of my cc] to check on the progress of the claims and they told me that they were still ongoing. I think that that there is an awful lot of muddle between PayPlan and EIF - why does your case seem to be being handled differently to mine? I suppose that it may be an entirely different creditor involved in the offsetting and therefore that could be complicating the issue.

Hi, Brokebryn. I suspect it maybe MBNA or Capital One. I've e-mailed PayPlan as in my post above. Even if for some reason, the mass variation concerning PPI doesn't cover offset, why should a creditor who hasn't followed the rules affect me? I know how it would be if it was the other way around!
I seem to have established regular contact as I'm now getting responses to my e-mails, albeit 48 hours after sending them, which I suppose is not too bad. Their response is that if any creditor offsets then all payments are frozen to all creditors until it’s sorted out. There was no reference to the mass variation or any timescale given. The creditors are Capital One and HBOS. I feel that I’m being punished for something out of my control. Do any of the professionals have any opinions on offset once all IVA payments have been made?
I've been mulling over this all weekend to the extent that I'm going to take some time off this week to ring them for a better explanation. I'll post back with what they say.
Hi Sensible 77, I think that's a good idea if only to get some peace of mind. Like I said, I had [or still have] an offset case and I phoned EIF, who confirmed that it was ongoing, either very shortly before or very shortly after Payplan issued my cc, albeit without me being aware of the latter fact for about a month due to its being 'lost in the post'.....I suspect that the organisation is too big, has too many clients, not enough staff. etc - and in that sense there is perhaps a danger that it might eventually end up like GT. Here's hoping that you get some proper answers and that the cc is not delayed any further. It's b***** unfair.
